Fodé SAMB

Founder & President

e-Peace is founded by Fodé Samb, originally from Senegal, currently residing in Switzerland. With a solid background in social sciences and economics, Fodé obtained a master's degree at the University of Neuchâtel. His work focused on the impact of migrant remittances on sustainable development and good governance in Africa. His work was taken up by several media ( Le Temps , Economie Afrique , Slide-Money ) to explain why money transfers from sub-Saharan migrants resisted the Covid 19 epidemic.

Fodé excels in managing complex and conflict-sensitive projects, demonstrating exceptional skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. His expertise in project management has been strengthened by executive training at the University of Bern, the SUFOSEC alliance and the Swiss Development Agency .

His diverse professional background includes roles within renowned organizations such as SWISSAID , where he currently holds the position of Program Assistant in Development Cooperation. He contributed to the conceptualization and implementation of programs integrating conflict sensitivity, gender and climate in nine countries.

As facilitator of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the Neuchâtel Development Cooperation Federation (Latitude 21), Fodé helped raise awareness among students in the canton of Neuchâtel about the issues of international cooperation and sustainability.

His passion for research and scientific collaboration was manifested during his role as scientific collaborator at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies and at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne ( EPFL Excellence in Africa ), where he contributed to innovative projects linked to urban resilience in West Africa.

Fodé also played a crucial role as a representative of humanitarian organizations ( EPER/HEKS ) during the federal hearings of asylum seekers at the State Secretariat for Migration in Bern and at the Registration and Procedure Center in Vallorbe, demonstrating its neutrality and commitment to justice.

Apart from his professional achievements, Fodé is the leader of the SambaGo project, a project aimed at digitalizing micro, small and medium-sized businesses and facilitating access to e-commerce in Africa. His entrepreneurial vision was recognized by the Senegalese youth entrepreneurship program.

Equipped with multilingual skills in French, Wolof, English and German, Fodé Samb is a dynamic individual who excels in complex project management, conflict sensitivity, strategic planning and promoting sustainable development on a global scale. Fodé is a member of Public Eye and a consultant at Global ID at EPFL Innovation Park .

Hani Chaar

Vice-President and Head of Marketing, Communication and Partnerships

Hani Chaar, born June 26, 1965, is a Swiss citizen with an impressive background in the field of international relations, negotiation and diplomacy, international development project management, policy development, strategic development and institutional partnerships.

A graduate of the Graduate Institute, Hani has acquired solid expertise in international affairs. In addition, he holds the PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate, attesting to his recognized competence in the management of international projects.

Over the past years, Hani Chaar has represented Lebanon at various United Nations conferences and meetings. He has also distinguished himself by his participation in complex multilateral negotiations with a wide range of actors, covering crucial issues such as disarmament and arms control, international human rights and international humanitarian law, as well as international refugee and migrant law.

Currently, in addition to his role as Senior International Affairs and Strategy Specialist in the Multilateral Diplomacy Division of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Hani Chaar serves as Vice President from e-Peace Switzerland. In this new responsibility, he is committed to providing excellent support and advice to international stakeholders, including government officials and experts, representatives of international organizations, the private sector, civil society and academia. Its aim is to provide expertise in international business management and effective negotiation techniques for implementing informed policies and making evidence-based decisions.

Bouna Cissé

Responsible for cultural projects and program manager within the projects committee

Bouna Cissé is a Senegalese national residing in Bern, Switzerland. His professional and academic career reflects a constant commitment to the development of varied skills and a desire to actively contribute to sustainable development.

His initial training led him to obtain a higher technician diploma in business management from the Polytechnic Institute of Dakar (IPD), where he acquired in-depth knowledge in management, project management, marketing, finance, accounting, resources human and commercial law. Subsequently, he enriched his career with certifications in banking, insurance and microfinance.

Before settling in Switzerland, Bouna worked in the Senegalese civil service for eight years, at the Presidency of the Republic. He was also a municipal councilor for the Commune of Mermoz - Sacré-Cœur in Dakar.

Bouna has also contributed to international initiatives in favor of sustainable development, notably as a participant in the COP 21 summit, demonstrating his commitment to global environmental issues.

With strong language skills, Bouna is fluent in French, allowing him to communicate effectively in multicultural professional contexts. He has also developed expertise in the use of common accounting software and computer skills that allow him to adapt to today's technological requirements.

His establishment in Switzerland marks a new stage in his life, where he seeks to use his skills and experience in the service of sustainable development. His determination, versatility and commitment make him a valuable individual for any professional or community environment in which he is involved.

Johny Bastienne

Legal responsible

Johny Bastienne is a seasoned legal professional, recognized for his expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments and for his strategic advice in various legal areas. With a career spanning several decades, Johny has honed his skills in areas such as international trade law, contract law, maritime law, banking, copyright, as well as constitutional and audience.

Throughout his professional career, Johny has held key roles in both the public and private sectors, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability. From his position as General Counsel at the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company to his responsibilities as General Counsel at the International (Seychelles) Investment Company Limited, Johny has consistently demonstrated his ability to provide sound legal advice and protect the interests of his clients. clients.

Johny's commitment to public service is evident through his tenure as Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Institutional Affairs in the Office of the President of the Republic of Seychelles. In this role, he acted as a crucial liaison between the Office of the President and the Office of the Attorney General, contributing significantly to the smooth functioning of government institutions.

Additionally, Johny's contributions extend beyond national borders, with his role as a legal consultant within organizations such as The Global Fund and Teyssot, Lumeka & Associés in Switzerland. Here, he played a key role in negotiating agreements, mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, thereby facilitating the smooth operation of these entities.

Johny's educational background is also impressive, having completed his Legal Practice course in International Trade, Shipping and Intellectual Property at the Inns of Court Moot Court, followed by an LLB in Law from the University of London.

With proficiency in multiple languages, including Portuguese, French, English, and a basic understanding of German, Johny's language skills further enhance his ability to navigate diverse legal landscapes and communicate effectively with a global customer base.

In summary, Johny Bastienne's illustrious career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to legal excellence, his ability to navigate complex legal challenges, and his devotion to serving both his clients and the public interest with integrity and professionalism. .

Nora Moor

Financial and Administrative Manager

A social worker, Nora is involved in several activities to promote social cohesion. She is a member of Public Eye and holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.

Dr. Willy Didier Foga

Responsible for advisory mandates and representative in Africa

Willy Didié Foga Konefon holds a PhD thesis in History of International Relations at the University of Yaoundé I where he carried out teaching tasks for many years. He is currently a teacher-researcher at the University of Douala.

 

Its research activities focus on global issues that weigh on the present and the future of the planet and specifically Africa, namely: international migrations, wars, peace, cyberspace and the planetary condition of the African question. A fellow of the program of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, Eugèn Ionescu (Romania) in 2014 and laureate of the CODESRIA program, the Institute on Democratic Governance in 2015 in Senegal, he is active in several learned societies. Passionate about research, his experience of modernity allows him to circulate in the numerous spaces of discussion and production of knowledge on an international scale within the framework of conferences, working groups, symposia, seminars, conferences, study days , etc.

 

Author of several scientific articles in French-speaking and Anglo-Saxon journals. Two of his books are currently in press with CODESRIA and L'Harmattan, which summarize some of his thoughts on the issues of intra-African migration experiences and on wars and peace in Africa from Yesterday to Today 'today. Appointed in 2021 as assistant to the Coordinator of the Research Group on “War and Peace in Africa yesterday and today”, since March 2022 he has held the position of Regional Director for Africa of the International Research Center on the Prevention of Recruitment of Child Soldiers (Dakhla/Morocco).

 

He also has proven expertise in strengthening institutional capacities, civil society organizations and evaluating projects and programs in the areas of migration, security and peace. Hence, he is an expert consultant for several think tanks and international organizations such as POLISENS; BETTER + ; Samuel Hall East Africa in collaboration with the African Union, International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), ILO, IOM, UNDP and UNICEF.
